Over the years, I’ve explored the publishing world from many different angles—running Spontaneous Afflatus, an independent press; co-founding and editing Wavelength Magazine, a cultural arts publication based in North Texas; working as the publishing specialist at Mavs Open Press; and now serving as senior manager of operations at Brown Books Publishing Group.
I’m especially interested in how technology is transforming publishing particularly through metadata and data-driven strategies that help connect books with the right readers. I’m also fascinated by how digital tools are making the publishing process more accessible, efficient, and ultimately more impactful.
My debut poetry collection, Ebb & Flow, was first published in 2017 (the second edition is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble), and my writing has since appeared in Mad Swirl and Wavelength Magazine. I also publish From the Stack on Substack—a personal space where I write about culture, travel, publishing, and whatever else I’m curious about at the moment.
At the core of everything I do is a deep love of learning fueled by my curiosity. When I’m not working or writing, you’ll likely find me reading on the porch (or the beach, if I’m lucky), traveling, or stargazing with my telescope in the backyard.
